RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work in progressive care unit focusing on cardiovascular diagnoses including congestive heart failure, post-myocardial infarction, and cardiac arrhythmias
• 1:4 patient ratio for days, nights, and weekends
• Must be flexible with weekend requirements and work 50% of weekends during contract
• 36 hours of orientation provided
• Required to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) as needed
• May be assigned charge nurse responsibilities with training provided
• Must agree to possibility of precepting and/or having students shadow during assignment
• Care for patients post-cath lab procedures, pre-LVAD placements, and pre-heart/lung transplants
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Trauma Level I experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS preferred
• Skills required: Cardiac PCU, drips, post cath lab, IV starts, sheath pulls
• Skills preferred: Conscious sedation and telemetry
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• First time travelers accepted
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Call-in policy requires makeup shifts or extension of contract
