RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• 2 years of experience required - unit accepts first time travelers
• Patient ratio of 1:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Daily census of 25 surgical cases with 8 operating rooms
• Float required within facility/scope of practice including Main OR and to Piedmont Macon North Hospital as needed
• Call requirements: 12-15 days in a 6-week schedule, including minimum of 2 weekends
• Weekend coverage included in call requirements only
• Holiday policy: Must work major holidays that fall during assignment period (1-2 holidays work both, 3 holidays work 2)
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• Maximum 7 days RTO per contract
• 24 hours of orientation (non-billable hours determined by contract length)
• Epic charting system experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CNOR (preferred), TNCC (preferred)
• Skills include CVOR procedures, CABG, TAVR, cell saver, atrial septal defect repair, mitral valve replacement, MAZE procedure
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Full compliance required to start on time with 48-hour completion deadline for core items/labs
• GA or Compact nursing license required at time of submission
• Trauma Level I experience preferred

This medical center operates a comprehensive cardiovascular operating room with 8 operating rooms handling approximately 25 surgical cases daily. The facility specializes in advanced cardiac procedures including coronary artery bypass grafts, valve replacements, and transcatheter procedures. The organization provides extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and various other specialized services to ensure optimal patient care and surgical outcomes.
