RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PACU

Job Details:

• Work 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
• One required late shift per week (stay until last OR case is completed and recovered)
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• On-call requirement: 1 call night per week and 1 call weekend every 6 weeks
• Weekend coverage only required for call
• No floating required between units
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• SC or Multi State/Compact RN license required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Epic experience required
• Critical Care training preferred
• Facility-provided scrubs
• 48 hours of orientation
• Care for patients of all ages including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Handle post-operative care for various surgical procedures including general surgery, endoscopy, orthopedics, ENT, and cardiac procedures
• Guaranteed hours with facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Must be aware of hurricane season emergency response team assignments from June through November

This acute care hospital features 304 staffed beds and operates a comprehensive PACU unit with 11 beds serving a daily census of 20-40 patients. The facility utilizes Epic charting system and provides extensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and various diagnostic services. The organization maintains high standards for post-operative patient care and offers modern medical equipment including PCA pumps and advanced monitoring systems.
