RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour night shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend schedule with holidays as needed
• Float required to all Cone Health facilities
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• First time travelers accepted
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6 required experience
• Required certifications: BLS, NIH Stroke Scale
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Must pass EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed)
• Telemetry experience required - remote monitoring experience required, on-unit monitoring preferred
• Must be experienced with feeding tube care and management
• Required skills include: accessing ports, blood product administration, central line care/management, peripheral line care/management, PICC line management, starting IVs
• CVA experience and nasal cannula management required
• Must be proficient in isolation precautions and wound care/wound vac
• Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
• 24-hour orientation provided
• Compliance deadline: 12 noon EST the Wednesday prior to start date
• 50-mile local radius restriction applies

This healthcare facility operates an inpatient medical surgical telemetry unit with 29 beds serving adult and geriatric patient populations. The facility specializes in caring for patients with multiple co-morbidities, with particular expertise in stroke and neurological patient care. The unit provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and various other specialized services to ensure quality patient outcomes.
