RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts with 36 or 48 hours per week available
• 13-week contract assignment with every other weekend requirement
• Patient ratios of 3:1 or 4:1 on a Progressive Care Unit that operates similar to an ICU
• Float to sister ICCU unit as needed
• Must have 2 years of experience with strong drip experience required
• Required skills include arterial lines, titrating vasoactive drips, telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience needed with central line care, PICC management, chest tubes, BiPAP/CPAP, tracheostomy management
• Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIHSS
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Work with patients including post rapid response, respiratory distress, unstable hemodynamics, withdrawal, GI bleeds, and various post-operative cases
• Manage cardiac drips including Cardizem, Nitro, Precedex, Cardene, Levophed, Dopamine, Dobutamine
• Use Epic charting system and Pyxis medication dispensing
• Dress code requires navy, white, or combination scrubs
• Hospital orientation required during first week with daily class attendance
• Maximum 7 days RTO allowed and must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Cannot work more than 5 days in a row or 60 hours per week per fatigue policy
