RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• 36 hours per week can be offered
• Patient ratios typically 2:1, may flex to 3:1 during high census
• Every other weekend requirement
• Float requirement within hospital or to affiliate hospitals
• No call requirement
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• 2 years of Neuro ICU experience required (no exceptions)
• Travel experience required - first-time travelers not accepted
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale
• Skills required: ventilator management, IV starts, neuro intensive care, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, blood product administration, central line care, continuous IV sedation, CVA/acute stroke management, external ventricular drains, ICP monitoring, post-neurosurgery management, isolation precautions, lumbar drain experience
• Preferred skills: arterial line management
• Must be comfortable with comprehensive stroke center patient population including strokes, craniotomies, aneurysm procedures, and seizure management
• Work with specialized equipment: EVD, lumbar drains, Camino, LICOX, NICOM, Arctic Sun
• Epic charting system experience required
• Navy blue and white scrubs required
• 24-hour orientation (2 days or 2 nights)
• 8-10 hours of non-billable modules required
• Cannot work more than 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week
