RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Provide care to adults through geriatric patients with general medical and surgical needs
• Work with renal and bariatric surgery services patients
• Unit has telemetry services capability
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6 for days, nights, and weekends
• 33-bed unit with average daily census of 20
• Work every other weekend unless specified elsewhere
• Floating required within facility/scope of practice and to sister campus (Piedmont Columbus Northside) as needed
• No call requirements
• Holiday coverage required: work 1 holiday if 1 falls during assignment, both holidays if 2 fall during assignment, or 2 out of 3 holidays if 3 fall during assignment
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Years Eve/New Years Day
• Maximum 7 days RTO per contract
• 12 hours of orientation required
• Minimum 1 year experience required, first-time travelers accepted
• BLS certification required
• GA or Compact nursing license required
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Use Epic and Pyxis systems with SBAR communication
• Skills include peripheral line care/management, nasal cannula, oxygen administration, isolation precautions/PPE, and rapid response/code team participation
• Special procedures include manual peritoneal dialysis and bariatric surgery care (gastric sleeve and bypass)
• Full compliance required to start on time with all documents due Tuesday prior to start date
