RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Patient ratio of 1:5 (up to 6 patients on nights/weekends)
• Minimum 3 weekends required in 6-week period
• Maximum 5 days of requested time off allowed
• Possibility of being placed on call and floated based on unit/hospital needs
• 1 year of experience required, first-time travelers accepted
• Telemetry experience required, ambulatory and med/surg experience preferred
• Must be comfortable with pediatric population
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS (PALS required before start)
• Any color scrubs accepted, must look professional
• Charting system: Meditech
• 12-hour orientation provided
• Call-in policy: Must pick up additional shift to make up for any call-ins
• Complete up to 8 hours of modules within 1 week of signing
• Responsible for primary nursing, vitals, and phlebotomy
• Work with various equipment including Alaris IV pumps, Kangaroo feeding pumps, bladder scanner, and telemetry
• Care for patients with conditions including chest pain, CHF, COPD, pneumonia, sepsis, post-operative patients, and low-acuity pediatric cases

Facility:

This short-term acute care facility features 78 staffed beds with 26 rooms on the med/surg unit. The facility provides comprehensive medical and surgical services with interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The organization serves patients across all age groups and maintains a daily census of approximately 20 patients on the unit, offering specialized care for a wide range of medical conditions and surgical procedures.
