RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Cardiac Tele

Job Details:

• Patient ratio of 1:5 during days and nights, 1:6 on weekends in a 32-bed unit
• Work with adult to geriatric patient population
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Must have prior travel experience and 1 year minimum nursing experience
• Required experience managing continuous IV medications including cardiac drips (Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Nitroglycerin), diuretics (Bumex, Lasix), anticoagulants (Aggrastat, Argatroban, Heparin), and insulin drips
• Must have basic arrhythmia knowledge and experience with hemodynamic monitoring
• Care for patients with cardiac conditions, arrhythmias, CHF, chest pain, post cardiac catheterization, and overflow IMCU patients
• Perform cardioversion, manage TR bands, chest tubes, and handle DKA patients
• Work with Epic charting system (preferred), Pyxis, and SBAR
• Wear navy blue scrubs
• Float within facility as needed to like units
• Work typically every other weekend with permanent staff scheduled first
• Maximum 7 days RTO per contract
• Required to work holidays based on assignment period (1-2 holidays if they fall during assignment)
• Call is rare with 2-hour response time
• Complete telemetry competency exam
• 36 hours of orientation with modules completed during non-billable time
• Georgia or Compact nursing license required at time of submission

The facility maintains high standards for cardiac care with interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation services.
