Description

RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work night shifts on a Medical Surgical unit with Oncology history
• 13-26 week assignment with every other weekend required
• Target patient ratio of 1:6 (may be higher during increased census)
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; will accept first-time travelers
• Required certifications: BLS and Oncology certification (ONS/ONCC)
• Must be able to administer chemotherapy if needed
• Required skills include Med/Surg experience, colostomy care, accessing ports, blood product administration, central line blood draws, PICC line management, heparin and insulin administration, surgical drains, chest tubes, wound care/wound vac
• Call requirement if called off on a prescheduled shift
• Floating required to similar units and alternate care locations including inpatient holding in ED
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• 24-hour orientation (2 shifts)
• Navy blue and white scrubs required
• Expected to work Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team during catastrophic events
• Daily census of 42 patients
• Care for patients with general medical-surgical diagnoses including AKI, sepsis, cancer, pain management, malignant neoplasms, diabetic foot ulcers
• Use PYXIS, EPIC, and SBAR systems
• Attendance at monthly staff meetings required
• Cannot work more than 5 days in a row or 60 hours per week
• 8-10 hours of non-billable modules required pre-start and annually

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
