RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 4x12 or 3x12 hour shifts available
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6 patients on a 32-bed unit
• Patient population includes adults to geriatrics
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Must have prior travel experience - first-time travelers not accepted
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• Must have cardiac telemetry work experience and be comfortable managing continuous IV medications including cardiac drips, diuretics, anticoagulants, and insulin drips
• Scrub color requirement: Navy blue
• Float to like units within facility as needed
• Weekend coverage typically every other weekend with permanent staff scheduled first
• Call requirements are rare with 2-hour response time
• Holiday work required based on number of major holidays falling within assignment period
• Maximum 7 days RTO per contract
• Work with Epic charting system, Pyxis, and SBAR
• Care for patients with arrhythmia management, cardioversion, cardiac CHF, chest pain, renal and pulmonary conditions
• Handle overflow IMCU patients, post cardiac cath care, TR bands, and DKA management
• Telemetry competency exam required
• Georgia or Compact nursing license required at time of submission
