Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available

Opportunity:

Surgical Tech - Surgical Tech CVOR

Job Details:

• Work 10-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM
• 1:1 patient ratio in cardiovascular operating room
• Call requirement: 2 days per week and every third weekend
• Float requirement: Yes, will float to Main OR and Vascular OR as needed
• Weekend coverage when needed
• Minimum 1.5 years of experience required
• Travel experience required
• Must have experience working with adults through geriatrics
• Experience in CVOR and Trauma work settings required
• Experience with cardiac and vascular surgery cases
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Required certifications: BLS and NBSTSA
• Skills required: Fire Safety, Aseptic Technique, Laser Safety, Sharp Safety, Specimen Handling/labeling, Sterilization/Disinfection, Universal Protocol (Time out) Procedure
• Preferred experience with surgery case types: Endo/Laparoscopic, ENT, General, Gyn, Neuro, Ortho, Plastics, and Urology
• Epic experience preferred
• 40-hour orientation required
• Scrubs provided
• Must complete lab work and testing within 48 hours after signing
• Cannot work more than 5 days in a row and/or more than 60 hours in a week

The facility features 31 operating rooms and 810 beds, offering procedures including vascular, general, neurosurgery, orthopedic, urology, EENT, OB/GYN, plastics, OMF, trauma, dental, pediatric, neonatal, and endoscopy services. The organization also performs organ harvesting procedures and maintains advanced cardiovascular and trauma capabilities as a Level II trauma center.
