RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in a 10-bed Open Heart Intensive Care Unit (OHICU) providing care to critically ill/postoperative patients 18 years and older
• Patient ratio of 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Every other weekend schedule required for duration of contract
• 8 hours of orientation provided
• May float to all ICU floors and medical surgical floors if needed
• Must pass EKG exam on first attempt or risk cancellation
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS (AHA or ARC only)
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Maximum 7-day return to orientation period
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Pennsylvania nursing license required with no license hits accepted
• Must complete pre-start modules (5-6 hours, billable)
• Tobacco and fragrance free facility
• Care for patients recovering from open heart surgery, cardiac procedures, and general surgery
• Manage invasive hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, arrhythmia monitoring
• Experience with IABP management, CRRT utilization, VAD management, and ECMO required
• Handle advanced cardiac life support and pacemaker/ICD management
• Work with specialized equipment including Hemosphere's/Accuman, Impella's, ECMO, LVAD's
