RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Cardiac Tele

Job Details:

• Patient ratio of 1:5 during days and nights, 1:6 on weekends in a 32-bed unit
• Minimum 1 year of experience required with prior travel experience mandatory
• Must have experience managing continuous IV medications including cardiac drips (Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Nitroglycerin), diuretics (Bumex, Lasix), anticoagulants (Aggrastat, Argatroban, Heparin), and insulin drips
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Adult to geriatric patient population
• Care for overflow IMCU patients with arrhythmia management, cardioversion, cardiac CHF, chest pain, renal and pulmonary conditions
• Handle post cardiac catheterization patients, TR bands, DKA, and occasional orthopedic or CVA overflow patients
• Work with Epic charting system, Pyxis, and SBAR communication
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Typically work every other weekend with permanent staff scheduled first
• Float within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Holiday work required if holidays fall during assignment period
• Maximum 7 days RTO per contract
• 36 hours of orientation with telemetry competency exam required
• Georgia or Compact nursing license required at time of submission

This healthcare facility operates a 32-bed cardiac telemetry unit that serves as overflow for the intermediate care unit. The facility provides comprehensive cardiac care including arrhythmia management, cardioversion, and post-cardiac catheterization care. The unit is equipped with modern telemetry monitoring systems and has 24/7 respiratory therapy support with high-flow oxygen and BiPAP capabilities. The facility maintains high standards for cardiac care and requires specialized experience with various cardiac medications and interventions.
