RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Every 3rd weekend required, potentially up to every other weekend
• Holiday rotation required (generally 3 of the 6 major holidays)
• Patient ratio of 1:2 for days, nights, and weekends
• 2 years of experience required, first-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH, PALS
• SANE certification required in hand at time of submission
• May float to Med/Surg units as needed
• Required to float or take call at the Center of Hope (20 minutes from main ER)
• Care for patients requiring pressors, sedation, thrombolytic therapy, electrolyte replacement
• Perform bedside procedures including chest tube placement, intubation, line placement, cardioversions
• Handle cardiac monitoring, cardiac drips, hemodynamic monitoring, and ventilator/BiPAP support
• May require conscious sedation administration
• Work with specialized equipment including Alaris IV pumps, telemetry, BiPAP, high flow oxygen
• Any color scrubs acceptable - must look professional
• Chart using Meditech system
• No call requirements, free parking provided
• 12 hours of orientation required
• Complete up to 8 hours of modules within 1 week of signing

This healthcare facility features a comprehensive ICU and Progressive Care unit with 16 beds serving adult and geriatric patients. The facility provides advanced critical care services with interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams. The unit treats complex medical conditions including cardiac emergencies, respiratory failure, sepsis, and post-surgical patients requiring intensive monitoring and specialized interventions.
