Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available

Opportunity:

Ultrasound Tech - Ultrasound Tech

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• On-call responsibilities 2 days per week and every other weekend
• Must respond to on-call within 30 minutes
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sonographer required
• Graduate of an Ultrasound/Sonography program required
• Required certifications: ARDMS, ARRT, and current CPR/BLS
• Travel experience highly preferred
• Will consider travelers with outpatient ultrasound experience
• Provide quality imaging services for various patient populations including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Perform approximately 40 visits per day with average daily census of 350 in Radiology department
• Work with Siemens ultrasound equipment and appropriate transducers for different patient populations
• Perform specialized procedures including ultrasound guided breast biopsy, thyroid biopsy, paracentesis, and thoracentesis
• Work in various departments including emergency department, surgery, and patient floors
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 100 pounds with proper body mechanics
• Position requires standing and walking for extended periods with ability to handle critical and stressful situations
