RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week for 3x12 hour shifts
• 3 years of critical care experience required
• Travel experience required, first-time travelers not accepted
• Must be able to float across ICU, MS, PCU, and ED as helping hands based on departmental needs
• Patient ratio experience of 2-5 patients required
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Indiana state license required and must be in hand prior to start date
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Dress code: Red scrub top, black bottoms
• Use Cerner charting system
• Care for adult patients with diagnoses including ARDS, COPD, STEMI, NSTEMI, DKA, AKIs, UTIs, and acute shock
• Work with special equipment including ventilators, Arctic Sun, and balloon pumps
• Perform procedures such as cath lab support, TR bands, sheath pulls, EEGs, cardioversion, and stress tests
• Handle ventilator management, arterial line management, central line care, blood product administration, and cardiac drips
• Local Indiana residents not accepted for this position
• Must have university accredited by ACEN or CCNE
• 2 supervisor references required

This short-term acute care hospital features 12 ICU beds with a daily census of 7 patients. The facility provides comprehensive critical care services with interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary support. The hospital maintains modern equipment and technology to support complex cardiac and critical care procedures, offering specialized services for patients requiring intensive monitoring and advanced life support interventions.
