RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Schedule includes weekdays and weekends
• 13-week contract with possible extension available
• Patient ratios of 1:5-7
• 2+ years of RN experience required
• Travel experience not required
• Required certifications: BCLS, NIH, ACLS (must be American Heart Association certified)
• WV or Compact license required (pending license acceptable)
• Must live greater than 100 miles from facility (75-100 miles considered case-by-case)
• Electronic Medical Records system: Cerner
• Scrubs not provided
• Complete 8 hours of non-billable modules prior to start
• Orientation every other Thursday
• Facility has strict attendance policy - only 2-3 call offs tolerated per contract
• Blocked schedule - unit cannot guarantee requests but will try to accommodate
• Care for adult patients with medical-surgical diagnoses and complex care needs
• Work with interdisciplinary team including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy

This medical center features a 34-bed Medicine Unit that manages acute medical-surgical patients with a wide range of diagnoses and care needs. The facility operates in a fast-paced environment where nursing staff must be adaptable and well-prepared for complex situations. The unit maintains a daily census of 25-30 patients and emphasizes teamwork, compassion, and evidence-based practice. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, radiology, and rapid response teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
