Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available

Opportunity:

Radiology / Cardiology - Cath Lab Tech

Job Details:

• Work 4x10 day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM or 5x8 shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM as needed
• On-call requirements: 1 weekday and 1 weekend every 4-6 weeks, includes holidays
• 13-week contract with possible extension
• 1.5-2 years experience required with travel experience mandatory
• Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS, ARRT
• Preferred certification: ARRT CI
• West Virginia RT license required to operate fluoro machines in the lab
• Graduate of approved School of Radiologic Technology required
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Work with Cerner EMR system
• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures along with endovascular peripheral interventions
• Operate high-technology equipment including Siemens devices
• Monitor patient hemodynamic status and document during procedures
• Scrub during endovascular procedures to assist physicians
• Maintain sterile field and set up equipment
• Recognize life-threatening arrhythmias and use rapid response protocols
• Work with cardiac stent placement, diagnostic catheterizations, IABP placement/removal, and Impella insertion
• Handle vascular closure systems and various angioplasty procedures
• Physical requirements include frequent lifting up to 25 lbs with maximum of 50 lbs
• Complete mandatory in-services, staff meetings, and competency assessments
