RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Neuro

Job Details:

• Work in Med Surg Neuro Unit specializing in neurological disorders
• Patient ratios: Stepdown 1:3-4, Med Surg 1:6-7 utilizing team nursing
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with daily census of 28 patients
• 44-bed unit serving as center of excellence for stroke, neurosurgeries and other neurological disorders
• Must be willing to work both Stepdown and Med Surg sides of the unit
• Perform special procedures including LP, tPA, NIHSS, and neuro checks
• Self-scheduling system with one pre-approved time off request allowed
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Skills include conscious sedation and IV starts
• 2+ years Med Surg experience required with travel experience
• Large hospital and Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Compact or Tennessee license required at time of submittal
• Must live at least 100 miles from facility
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays if they fall during assignment
