RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 36/48 hour alternating schedule with 84 hours biweekly and 72 hour guarantee
• 4:1 patient ratio for days, nights, and weekends
• Weekend coverage required
• 48 hours orientation required
• 3 years of experience preferred, no first-time travelers accepted
• Will accept 2 years of experience if traveler has worked in high volume/trauma facility
• Travel experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Care for patients of all age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Daily census of 190 patients with 62 emergency department rooms
• Provide comprehensive emergency care including trauma, cardiac emergencies, stroke care, and behavioral health conditions
• Perform emergency procedures such as intubation, arterial line management, central line care, chest tube management
• Work in Level II Trauma Center with STEMI and Stroke certification
• Handle critical care situations including ventilated patients, continuous IV sedation, and multisystem organ dysfunction
• Triage patients and manage emergency medications
• Document in Oracle system during orientation modules
• Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only

This healthcare facility operates a high-volume emergency department with 62 rooms serving a daily census of 190 patients. The facility is a Level II Trauma Center with STEMI and Stroke certifications, providing comprehensive emergency services for all age groups. The emergency department offers extensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary support. The facility maintains advanced emergency capabilities with specialized equipment and protocols for critical care situations.
