Allied Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available

Opportunity:

Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics - CRT NICU

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 night shifts with every other weekend requirement and holiday coverage expected
• Float between Adult Critical Care and NICU units
• 2 years of experience required as RRT in Adult Critical Care and NICU
• 1 prior travel assignment completed required
• Required certifications: BLS, CRT, RRT, MD State licensure
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, ED experience
• Work with specialized ventilators including Draeger V500, Draeger VN500, and Servo U
• Perform airway management including endotracheal tube/suctioning, extubation, nasal and oral airway placement
• Conduct pulmonary hygiene, sputum specimen collection, and tracheostomy care
• Administer various respiratory medications including Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, and others
• Operate respiratory equipment including BiPAP, CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula, and nebulizers
• Troubleshoot high pressure alarms and assist in weaning from mechanical ventilation
• Assist in high risk delivery and perform umbilical blood gases
• Must be comfortable drawing and analyzing ABGs
• Work with patients ranging from neonates to geriatrics
• Use Cerner charting system
• Wear ceil blue scrubs (not provided by facility)
• Complete 36 hours of orientation
• Must complete facility-specific modules within one week of signing contract
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
