RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Rotating ICU nursing position with 2:1 patient ratio for all shifts
• Weekend coverage required with every other holiday work requirement
• 12-hour orientation provided
• Float within hospital when needed
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (AHA only)
• 2 years of experience required with patient ratio experience
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Care for adults and geriatric patients in Medical ICU setting
• Manage patients with stroke, sepsis, renal failure, respiratory failure, and substance withdrawal
• Work with specialized equipment including CRRT, arterial and Swan-Ganz lines
• Perform specialized procedures including CRRT and prone positioning
• Skills required include ventilator management, vasoactive drip titration, arterial line management, ECMO care, and central line management
• Valid PA License or Compact License required at time of submission
• Must complete fingerprinting within 24-48 hours of signing
• Drug screen and demographic sheet required within 48 hours of signing
• Non-billable modules (approximately 1 hour) required for completion prior to facility entry
• May float to sister facilities within 10-mile radius as needed
• Clock in/out using badge with supervisor-signed timesheets required

This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive Medical ICU with stroke certification and advanced critical care capabilities. The 10-bed intensive care unit provides specialized care for critically ill patients with complex medical conditions. The facility offers extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and multiple specialty services to ensure comprehensive patient care.
