RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend rotation and holidays as needed
• Must have cardiac PCU experience and be comfortable with 1:5 patient ratios
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• First time travelers accepted
• Previous Charge RN experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS required; NIH preferred
• Patient ratios: 1:4 with drips/bipap, otherwise mostly 1:5
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Use of Rapid Response Teams preferred
• Nurse Assistants available 24/7, RN secretary 7a-11p
• Zero tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
• Staff scheduled for 6-week periods via self-assisted scheduling through Optilink
• All RNs required to pass EKG exam regardless of specialty
• Required skills include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, telemetry monitoring, pre/post cardiac cath care, peripheral and PICC line management, cardiac and vasoactive drips management, procedural sedation administration, chest tube management, external CPAP/BiPAP, and tracheostomy management
• Subject to float to any campus if needed
• No locals accepted (50-mile radius)

Facility:

This healthcare organization features a 30-private bed Cardiac Medical Progressive Care department that provides comprehensive cardiac care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The unit focuses primarily on cardiac patients including congestive heart failure, acute coronary syndrome, arrhythmias, pre and post cardiac catheterization patients, and various cardiac conditions. The facility also provides secondary care for respiratory problems and utilizes a Centralized Cardiac Monitoring Department for remote room monitoring. The organization maintains high standards for patient care with excellent interdisciplinary support and modern cardiac care equipment.
