RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Minimum 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Care for adult to geriatric patient population on renal medical-surgical unit
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6 with 49 rooms and average daily census of 48
• Required certifications: BLS
• Must have Epic charting system experience (required), plus Pyxis and SBAR
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Maximum 7 days RTO per contract
• Work every other weekend unless specified elsewhere
• Floating required within facility/scope of practice as needed
• No call requirements
• Holiday expectations: work 1 holiday if 1 falls during assignment, work both if 2 fall during assignment, work 2 of 3 if 3 fall during assignment
• Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Years Eve/New Years Day
• GA or Compact nursing license required at time of submission
• Must complete full compliance to start on time or face 2-week pushback due to bi-weekly orientation schedule
• Skills required include: BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line blood draw, chest tubes, colostomy/ileostomy care, feeding tube management, heparin administration, insulin management, telemetry monitoring, wound care, IV management, and pre/post hemodialysis management
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
