Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available

Opportunity:

Ultrasound Tech - Ultrasound Tech

Job Details:

• Work Tuesday through Friday from 1:30 PM to 12:00 AM
• On-call responsibilities 2 days per week and every other weekend
• Must respond to call within 30 minutes
• Will consider travelers with outpatient ultrasound experience
• Minimum of 1 year related experience as a Sonographer required
• 2 years of experience preferred
• Graduate of an Ultrasound/Sonography program required
• Required certifications: ARDMS, ARRT, and current BLS/CPR
• Travel experience highly preferred
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Must work with patients of all age groups including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Perform approximately 40 visits per day with average daily census of 350 in Radiology department
• Work in 3 ultrasound rooms with Siemens ultrasound equipment
• Perform special procedures including ultrasound guided breast biopsy, thyroid biopsy, paracentesis, and thoracentesis
• Must be able to work in various hospital areas including surgery, emergency department, and patient floors
• Physical demands include ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, twist, and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds
• Must handle critical and highly stressful situations with efficiency and composure
• When fully staffed with 4 technologists, each tech covers 1 weekend
• 3 hours of orientation provided
