RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour shifts in a 15-bed emergency unit/critical access hospital
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Care for all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Work in combined adult/pediatric general emergency department setting
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• 2 years minimum experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Travel experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• TNCC certification preferred
• Experience with Cerner charting system preferred
• Must be comfortable with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• IV therapy skills including blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, and IV starts
• Experience with continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, and procedural sedation administration
• Neurological and psychiatric care including CVA management
• Triage and isolation precautions knowledge required
• Floating required within hospital or to affiliate hospitals nearby
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Local Indiana residents not accepted for this position

Facility:

This healthcare facility operates as a critical access hospital with a 15-bed emergency unit that provides comprehensive emergency care services. The facility maintains 24 rooms and serves approximately 60 patients daily, offering care across all age groups from neonates to geriatrics. The hospital provides interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, interpretation services, social services, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary support to ensure comprehensive patient care in the emergency department setting.
