Description
RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.
Opportunity:
RN - NICU
Job Details:
• Work three 12-hour shifts per week
• Required to work one extra shift every 3 weeks during high census periods
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Travel experience required
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• BLS certification required
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Float to PICU, CCU, or med surg floors with compatible skill sets
• Care for patients aged 23 weeks to 1 year old in a highly surgical level 4 NICU
• Patient ratio generally 1:2
• Manage complex diagnoses including PPHN, bowel perforations, NEC, BPD, tracheostomy/G-button evaluations, pre-op cardiac anomalies, gastroschisis, and hydrocephalus
• Work with specialized equipment including Drager/servo/trilogy ventilators, central lines, NIRS monitors
• Must be skilled in ventilator management, central line care, administration of blood products, and neonatal dosage calculations
• Two pre-approved time off requests allowed per contract
• Former permanent employees not accepted as travelers
• Local candidates within 100-mile radius not accepted

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
