RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Patient ratio of 1:6 during nights, 1:5 on weekends
• Every other weekend requirement
• Float requirement within hospital or to affiliate hospitals nearby
• No call requirement
• 24 hours of unit orientation
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience required
• Unit accepts first-time travelers
• Self-scheduling available
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, Telemetry
• Must be comfortable with telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Skills required include IV management, blood product administration, wound care, feeding tube management, isolation precautions, and various medical equipment
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred
• Navy blue or white scrubs required
• Maximum 7 days RTO per contract allowed
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Cannot work more than 5 days in a row or 60 hours per week
• Storm Team/Hurricane Team assignment during catastrophic events required
• 8-10 hours of non-billable modules must be completed pre-start
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including diabetes, pneumonia, COPD, sepsis, CHF, renal failure, and various surgical recovery cases
