RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work every other weekend with no call requirements
• Maintain 4:1 patient ratio for days, nights, and weekends
• Float within facility/scope of practice as needed
• 12 hours of orientation required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required - unit accepts first time travelers
• Must work major holidays that fall during assignment period (if 1-2 holidays: work all; if 3 holidays: work 2)
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations in 28-bed unit
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Epic charting system experience required
• Skills include cardiac telemetry, central line management, chest tubes, blood product administration, BiPAP/CPAP management, vasoactive drip titration, and wound care
• GA or Compact nursing license required at time of submission
• Maximum 7 days RTO per contract must be finalized at time of submission
• Full compliance required to start on time with all documents due Tuesday prior to start
• Must complete core items/labs within 48 hours of contract signing

This progressive care unit operates as a 28-bed stepdown unit providing intermediate care between intensive care and medical-surgical units. The facility offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and radiology services.
