RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Required to work weekends and holidays per unit needs
• Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity
• Scrub color: Caribbean Blue
• Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum overall score of 80% and 100% on lethal rhythms
• 24-hour orientation provided
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Must have completed at least 1 travel assignment
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Skills required: ER Holding, Telemetry, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias
• Care for adult patients with conditions including congestive heart failure, MI, atrial fibrillation, cardiac dysrhythmias, stroke/TIA, end stage renal disease, seizures, COPD, diabetes, pneumonia, sepsis, and chest pain
• Work with special equipment including ceiling lifts, Sabina lifts, accuchecks, 12 lead EKGs, and telestroke technology
• Unit has 34 beds with daily census of 27 patients
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
