RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 3x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week for 3x12-hour shifts
• Function as a Critical Care Float nurse with required floating to ICU, PCU, Medical-Surgical, and Emergency Department based on departmental needs
• 3 years of experience required with strong ICU and PCU background
• Must be comfortable taking higher patient ratios and floating between units
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Indiana state license must be in hand prior to start date
• Travel experience required - first-time travelers not accepted
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Dress code: Red scrub tops, black bottoms
• Use Cerner charting system
• Care for adult patients with diagnoses including ARDS, COPD, STEMI, NSTEMI, DKA, AKIs, UTIs, and acute shock
• Perform procedures including cath lab support, TR bands, sheath pulls, EEGs, cardioversion, and stress tests
• Work with specialized equipment including ventilators, Arctic Sun cooling system, and balloon pumps
• Patient ratio experience of 2-5 patients required
• Must have skills in ventilator management, arterial line management, central line care, blood product administration, and cardiac drip titration
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Local Indiana residents not accepted for this position

This short-term acute care hospital features 194 staffed beds and operates a comprehensive 12-bed ICU with a daily census of 7 patients. The facility provides advanced critical care services with interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretaries. The hospital offers specialized cardiac services, emergency care, and medical-surgical units, maintaining modern equipment and technology to support complex patient care needs across multiple departments.
