RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 8-hour, 10-hour, or 12-hour shifts with guaranteed hours (40 hours for 8/10-hour shifts, 36 hours for three 12-hour shifts, 48 hours for four 12-hour shifts)
• Patient ratios of 3-4 patients during days, nights, and weekends
• Float required to Med-Surg unit
• Weekend coverage required
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Must have Indiana state license in hand prior to start date
• Free parking provided
• Use Cerner charting system
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including MI, post cardiac arrest, A-fib RVR, sepsis, CHF exacerbation, HTN emergency, DKA, and post-PCI/ablation patients
• Skills include central line care/management, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, PCU/stepdown care, and titrating cardiac drips
• Daily census of 8 patients in 12-bed unit
• Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams
• Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only
