RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Patient ratios based on acuity
• Must float within scope to meet facility and department needs
• 2 years of emergency room experience required
• First-time travelers accepted with emergency room experience
• South Carolina or Multi State/Compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS (American Heart Association only)
• Preferred certifications: CPI and TNCC
• Epic charting system experience required
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Care for patients of all age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Handle approximately 130 visits per day in 37-room emergency department
• Work with interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
• Skills include arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, ventilated patient care, central line care, IV sedation, trauma care, and procedural sedation
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• During hurricane season (June-November), may be assigned to emergency response teams
• Complete required modules averaging 4 hours pre-start
