RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry Certified Stroke Center and Level IV Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU)
• Serve patients with neuro-related diagnoses and telemetry overflow patients from other units
• 36 hours per week guaranteed with longer contracts available
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
• Patient ratio of 5:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Float to other Med/Surg and Med/Surg Tele units as needed
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including CVA, epilepsy, ischemic stroke, seizures, and post-surgical patients
• 2 years of experience required with neurology and MS/Tele experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and 16-hour Maryland Approved Trauma Cert by week 27
• Basic EKG testing through Prophecy Relias must be completed before orientation
• 40 hours of orientation provided
• Skills include telemetry monitoring, central line care, blood product administration, heparin protocols, and wound care
• Work with interdisciplinary team including PT, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Valid Maryland or Compact license required
• Maximum assignment duration of 365 days with required 6-month separation period
