RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Neuro

Job Details:

• Work in 3South Med/Surg Telemetry unit which is a Certified Stroke Center and Level IV Epilepsy Monitoring Unit
• Care for patients with neuro-related diagnoses including CVA, epilepsy, seizures, traumatic brain injury, and post-neurosurgery patients
• Function as telemetry overflow unit serving other patient populations beyond neurology
• Maintain 5:1 patient ratio during days, nights, and weekends
• Work every other weekend and holiday with 36 hours per week guaranteed
• Float to other Med/Surg and Med/Surg Telemetry units as needed to support hospital operations
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and 16-hour Maryland Approved Trauma Certification by week 27
• Must successfully complete basic EKG testing through Prophecy Relias before orientation
• Minimum 2 years of neurology and Med/Surg telemetry experience required
• Must have valid Maryland or compact state nursing license
• 40-hour orientation provided
• Complete 8 hours of virtual modules on first day plus annual requirements
• Perform specialized procedures including EEG continuous bedside monitoring and telemetry
• Manage various equipment and procedures including central lines, chest tubes, cardiac drips, and wound care
