RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work on 3South Med/Surg Telemetry unit serving as Certified Stroke Center and Level IV Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU)
• Primarily care for neuro-related patients but also serve as telemetry overflow unit for diverse patient populations
• 36 hours per week guaranteed with longer contracts available
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
• Patient ratio of 5:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Float to other M/S and M/S Tele units as needed to support hospital operations
• Care for adults and geriatric patients with diagnoses including CVA, epilepsy, ischemic stroke, seizures, and post-surgical conditions
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and basic EKG testing through Prophecy Relias
• 2 years of neurology and MS/Tele experience required
• Valid Maryland or Compact nursing license required
• 40-hour orientation period with non-billable modules completed virtually
• Perform continuous EEG bedside monitoring, telemetry monitoring, and bladder scans
• Work with interdisciplinary team including PT, respiratory, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Annual continuing education requirements including 8 stroke CEUs
