RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 36/48 hour alternating schedule with block scheduling
• Patient ratios of 5:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Weekend coverage required
• Must have 2 years of nursing experience and prior travel experience
• Care for patients of all age groups: adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Work in 10-bed unit with daily census of 8 patients
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
• Essential skills include accessing/managing ports, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, heparin and insulin management, isolation precautions, cardiac and vasoactive drip management (no titration), telemetry monitoring, PCA management, peripheral line care, phlebotomy, IV starts and maintenance
• Interdisciplinary support available from physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
• Texas nursing license required in-hand with submission
• Must be available to complete required lab items within 72 hours of accepting offer
• Hard document deadline: Noon CST Wednesday prior to start date
