RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend requirements: 6 shifts in 6 weeks, every other weekend
• Patient ratio: 1:5-6
• 24 hours of weekly orientation provided
• 2 years of MS/Tele experience required
• Adult MS tele only - no pediatric patient care expected
• Must have completed at least 1 travel assignment or 1 month of per diem assignment
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS (PALS not required)
• Must successfully pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms
• Maryland license required (compact or MD license accepted)
• Skills include accessing/managing ports, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line care, chest tube management, telemetry monitoring, wound care, and various other medical-surgical procedures
• Care for patients with diabetes, congestive heart failure, infections, COPD, general surgery cases, and other medical conditions
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Equipment includes patient lifts, PCA pumps, chest tubes, telemetry monitoring, and capnography

This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive medical-surgical telemetry unit with 44 beds and a daily census of 32 patients. The facility specializes in a wide range of medical and surgical services, including a large orthopedic program featuring total joint procedures, colorectal surgeries, vascular procedures, and bariatric surgery. The unit accommodates most surgical cases and provides advanced monitoring capabilities with telemetry services and comprehensive interdisciplinary support teams to ensure optimal patient care outcomes.
