RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Weekend coverage required - 6 shifts in 6 weeks, every other weekend
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6
• 24-hour orientation provided
• Must have 2 years of MS/Tele experience
• Must have completed at least 1 travel assignment or 1 month of per diem assignment
• Adult MS tele only - not expected to care for pediatric patients
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS (PALS not required)
• Must successfully pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms
• Skills include telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, blood product administration, central line care, chest tubes, PCA pumps, wound care, and various other medical-surgical procedures
• Work with interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Care for patients with diagnoses including diabetes, CHF, infection, sepsis, COPD, general surgery cases, and post-operative patients
• Most surgical cases are placed on this unit including orthopedic, colorectal, vascular, and bariatric procedures
• Must have compact license or MD license
• No RTO permitted during first two weeks of assignment

This healthcare facility operates a 44-bed medical-surgical telemetry unit with a daily census of 32 patients.
