RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend coverage required - 6 shifts in 6 weeks, every other weekend
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• 2 years of Med Surg/Telemetry experience required
• Must have completed at least 1 travel assignment or 1 month of per diem assignment
• Adult MS/Tele only - not expected to care for pediatric patients
• Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS (PALS not required)
• Must have either compact license or MD license
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
• Skills include: telemetry monitoring, IV management, blood product administration, central line care, chest tube management, wound care, PCA pumps, and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Work with patients diagnosed with diabetes, CHF, infections, sepsis, COPD, general surgery cases, and post-surgical patients
• No RTO permitted during first two weeks of assignment
• Maximum 7 days RTO per 13-week contract

Facility:

This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive medical surgical telemetry unit with 44 beds and serves a daily census of 32 patients. The facility specializes in post-surgical care with a large orthopedic program including total joint replacements, colorectal surgeries, vascular procedures, and bariatric surgery. The unit provides interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and social services. The facility maintains modern equipment including patient lifts, telemetry monitoring systems, and capnography technology.
