RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• 36 or 48 hours per week available
• 13-20 week assignments accepted
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Float requirement - may be required to float to main campus location 32 minutes away
• Weekend requirement - every other weekend
• Self-scheduling system
• 24 hours of unit orientation
• Must start on 6/22
• Dress code: Navy blue or white scrubs
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Unit accepts first-time travelers
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, Telemetry
• Required skills include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, telemetry monitoring, blood product administration, central line blood draws, PICC line management, chest tube management, BiPAP/CPAP, wound care, and isolation precautions
• Care for patients with diagnoses including diabetes, pneumonia, COPD, sepsis, CHF, renal failure, and various surgical recovery cases
• Up to 7 days RTO auto-approved (no holidays)
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
• May be assigned to Storm Team/Hurricane Team during catastrophic events
• Candidate must complete lab testing within 48 hours after signing
• Non-billable modules required (expect 2-10 hours)
