RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS (AHA or ARC only)
• EPIC charting system experience required
• 2:1 patient ratios for days, nights, and weekends
• Every other weekend schedule required
• Holiday coverage as needed
• No call requirements
• May float to all ICU floors
• Maximum 7 days RTO preferred
• Manager interview required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Care for adult and geriatric patients in 10-bed unit
• Handle complex patient diagnoses including vascular surgeries, EVAR, TEVAR, TCAR, radical neck procedures, WHIPPLE, gynecologic oncology surgeries, necrotizing fasciitis, and complex abdominal surgeries
• Work with specialized equipment including CRRT and wound VAC
• Manage arterial lines, assist with chest tube insertion/removal, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, ventilated patients, central line care, CVVHD/CRRT, and titrate vasoactive drips
• Must complete and pass EKG exam within 72 hours of signing contract
• Complete pre-start modules (5-6 hours, billable)
• Tobacco and fragrance-free facility
• No nursing license hits accepted
