RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Review patient needs and conditions to deliver nursing care in assigned unit
• Analyze patient information including medical history, diagnostic results, and current condition to develop individualized nursing care plans
• Prepare nursing processes such as medication administration and treatments
• Reconcile medical records to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards
• Evaluate patient response to interventions and identify additional interventions needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team for effective care planning
• Self-scheduling with patient ratios of 5:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Weekend coverage required - 5 weekend shifts every 6 weeks
• 24 hours of orientation required
• Care for adults and geriatrics with daily census of 26 patients
• Focus on cardiac patients including acute coronary syndrome, pre and post cardiac catheterization, rule out MI, arrhythmias, and syncope
• Work with special equipment including TR Bands, central lines, PICC lines, and CVP monitoring
• Required: Associate's degree in nursing, 1 year RN experience, North Carolina RN license or compact state license, BLS certification, ACLS certification
• Required skills: Blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, central line care, chest tubes, feeding tube management, high flow nasal cannula, dysrhythmia interpretation, IV insulin protocols, cardiac and vasoactive drip management, telemetry monitoring, tracheostomy care
• EPIC experience required
• Must pass EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed)
• Subject to float to any facility campus if needed
• No local candidates accepted (50-mile radius restriction)
