Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available

Ultrasound Tech - Ultrasound Tech

Job Details:

• Perform a variety of technical procedures utilizing diagnostic ultrasound equipment
• Position, transfer, and immobilize patients as necessary to perform diagnostic procedures
• Adjust machinery and ancillary equipment parameters in accordance with prescribed procedures to obtain diagnostic medical/legal ultrasound images
• Assist in equipment calibration to maintain department standards
• Understand and perform high level probe disinfection
• Schedule exams and maintain department records
• Assist in quality control programs for the maintenance of prescribed standards
• Exercise independent judgment in planning sequence of operations and making minor decisions
• Work directly with patients, customers, healthcare professionals, and staff
• Available for emergency call back
• Must have minimum 2 years' experience in vascular and general ultrasound
• Required certifications: ARDMS or ARRT (S) registry, BLS, Vascular Registry
• Required education: Completion of an accredited Technical Ultrasound Program
• Must demonstrate ability to perform basic ultrasound echo and/or peripheral vascular studies
• Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills required
• Ability to organize and prioritize work in an effective and efficient manner
