Opportunity:

RN - PACU

Job Details:

• Provide nursing care to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex under general supervision
• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients in the hospital setting
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
• Assist physicians in patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Obtain and monitor physiological data, observe patient manifestations and intervene when necessary
• Administer medications as prescribed and manage IV infusions and blood products
• Interact with families and patients to share care plans during hospitalization and at discharge
• Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel
• Delegate tasks to support staff as needed
• On-call requirement assigned in rotation among staff with hours 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM and 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM on weekends
• 1 year of nursing experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Current Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact RN License (eNLC) required
• Required certifications: Current BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required
• Computer skills and ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients
