Opportunity:

Radiology Interventional Technologist - Radiology Interventional Technologist

Job Details:

• Work under the direction of a Radiologist performing invasive procedures to aid in pathological evaluations
• Must have 2 years of experience with IR procedural and hands-on scrubbing in procedures with physicians
• Overtime after 48 hours
• Explain examination procedures to patients and prepare them for examination
• Obtain additional patient medical history information as necessary
• Prepare prescribed contrast media, medications, and IV solutions for patient administration
• Review clinical data, analyze patient anatomical structure, and set up equipment following protocols
• Assist Radiologist in performing complex diagnostic invasive procedures
• Prepare and set up sterile equipment, physiological monitors, pressure injectors, and imaging equipment
• Ensure adequate supplies are on hand and properly stored, replenishing as appropriate
• Actively assess patient condition before, during, and following all procedures
• Manually control equipment to obtain proper diagnostic information
• May assist with training new personnel and/or students assigned to the division
• Perform all imaging procedures demonstrating radiation protection principles
• Complete PACS and RIS functions including image exceptions, quality delivery, and study indexing
• Perform Quality Assurance procedures and maintain medical record documentation
• Utilize independent judgment for imaging techniques, patient positioning, and safety practices
• High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required
• Must maintain Healthcare Provider certification (BLS)
• Must be registered with ARRT with advanced registry in CI, VI, or CV
• Experience with IR lab, scrub role, emergent cases, embolization, and neuro intervention preferred
• Familiarity with Siemens equipment and knowledge of CT spin operation preferred
• ACLS certification preferred
