Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Will consider 48 hours per week contract position
• Progressive Care Unit experience required
• Charge nurse duties may be assigned as needed
• One year of nursing experience required
• Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards
• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting
• Perform bedside point of care testing as required for patient care plans
• Assess patient readiness to learn and developmental factors affecting ability to learn
• Demonstrate competence in care of patients with complex problems including physical, psychosocial, educational and safety aspects
• Organize and prioritize care according to patient and family needs
• Participate in interdisciplinary team discussions for patient care evaluation
• Communicate relevant information to promote continuity of care
• Required: North Carolina RN license and Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC)
• Education requirement: Nursing Diploma or ADN/ASN from accredited school of nursing
• BSN or MSN from accredited school of nursing preferred
