Opportunity:

Radiology Interventional Technologist - Radiology Interventional Technologist

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• 13-week assignment duration
• On-call and overtime responsibilities included
• Minimum 2 years of experience required with neurological case experience
• Must have experience working in a comprehensive stroke facility
• Required certifications: BLS and ARRT with advanced registry in Cardiac-Interventional Radiography (CI), Vascular-Interventional Radiography (VI), or Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography (CV)
• Preferred experience in Vascular Radiography
• Work with Siemens technology and Cerner EMR systems
• Explain examination procedures to patients and prepare them for examinations
• Prepare prescribed contrast median, medications, and IV solutions for administration
• Set up sterile equipment, physiological monitors, pressure injectors, and imaging equipment
• Assist radiologist in performing complex diagnostic invasive procedures
• Actively assess patient condition before, during, and following all procedures
• Perform all imaging procedures following radiation protection principles and ALARA techniques
• Complete PACS image management and RIS study indexing
• Perform quality assurance procedures and maintain medical record documentation
• Responsible for room preparation using sterile technique skills, patient prepping, and assisting physician scrub-in
• Complete clean-up procedures and perform 3D imaging after procedures
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Must maintain required continuing medical education hours
