Opportunity:

MRI Tech - MRI Technologist

Job Details:

• Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiological Sciences or registry eligible
• Requires advanced certification in MR within one year of employment
• Must maintain current competency in HCP BLS
• Completion of accredited educational program in Radiological Science required
• Verify patient identification and document pregnancy status on patients of childbearing age
• Demonstrate knowledge of MRI and cross-sectional human anatomy
• Operate MRI scanners proficiently and perform automatic injections of MRI contrast
• Maintain active status with ARRT by accruing continuing education credits
• Interpret protocols and select appropriate scanning parameters
• Administer oral and IV contrast according to protocols and safety procedures
• Establish intravenous lines and check appropriate lab values before contrast injection
• Maintain thorough understanding of PACS system and transmit images appropriately
• Verify and segment images at QC station and access IMPAX service tools
• Complete, modify, and cancel orders in timely manner while ensuring accurate charge information
• Produce quality diagnostic images and maintain clean, orderly work environment
• Precept new employees and students
• Create documentation of incidents as improvement opportunities
